Our Humble Beginnings

In 1897 an Italian immigrant reinvented a Napoletana staple food into one of the worlds most eaten foods. It was called…The Pizza.

That was how it began in New York City, now known as the the birthplace of the New York style pizza.

This food caught on so well that, it quickly spread from Metropolitan area to Metropolitan area, landing in Baltimore City in 1934. Today, Baltimore’s own “New York Style” Pizzeria is going strong in the Inner Harbor, Downtown Baltimore. We have been in business since 1942 and if you can see the Sugar Factory across the Harbor, you are within 200 yards of our fine eatery.

During the year, 1935, Inner Harbor Pizza was licensed by the City of Baltimore as the “Official Pizzeria” of the City and the owner presented with the “Key To The City”, a great honor for such a humble establishment.

Now, 75 years later we are still coveted as one of the Best Pizzerias in all of Maryland. Our Menu has won several culinary awards over the years, most notably we were named the “Official Food of The Baltimore Ravens” in 2000, their Super Bowl Winning Championship Year.

Come visit us, we will extend an old fashioned welcome to you, just as we have been doing for over 75 years.

This foundation was started by Bea in 1981 and served 40 Thanksgiving Dinners to the homeless that year. When Gaddy died in 2001, her daughter took over the crusade and last year served 50,000 meals. This year, like most charities, they need support. Call the number and help if you can, Thanks.

We built this website as a demonstrator for our business but the whole idea of taking up space in search engines with a demo site doesn’t sit well with us.

We would rather sell it to a legitimate pizza business owner who can actually USE the search engine rankings to assist the economy. We can make any number of sites to replace it.
